The lakes found in the Litchfield Hills of Northwest Connecticut offer some of the best fishing opportunities in New England.

We welcome the novice, seasoned angler or family group looking to spend some time on the water. We’ll be glad to share our knowledge of local waters with those just getting started or provide a fishing platform for the experienced angler with a game plan.

You’ll fish on a custom built 20ft center console pontoon boat that allows for larger groups, handicapped accessibility and comfortable seating. It’s the boat you want to be on if you're planning a family fishing adventure or need some extra elbow room. It provides a kid friendly deck, shelter from the sun and a great fishing platform.

Whether you're looking to drop-shot for crappie, pull a Slug-Go over the pads for largemouth, live line for pike, fish the down riggers for kokanee, troll for rainbows in a stiff wind, walk a Zoom bait down a steep bank for smallmouth, jig for white and yellow perch, cast a Jitterbug on a dark night in June or just hang a worm for bluegills; we’ve got boat, tackle and the lakes to fish. We can target any species you choose, multiple species or go after what’s biting.

Our trip packages offer plenty of flexibility when it comes to the number of people onboard, the time frame for your trip and your budget considerations. We offer a TAG-ALONG trip where you can join me and my fishing buddies for a day of fishing and some lively conversation. (LEAVE THE KIDS HOME FOR THIS ONE) Also a MARATHON sunrise to sunset trip for the diehards that includes a midday fish fry.

Fly Fishing 2024 - looking forward to an early spring!

We have been asked about fly fishing opportunities offered by FQW.  Unfortunately time has caught up with Jim and I and the fly rods have been hanging idle on the wall.

Good news, our friend Jason Grieco who has plenty of experience and local knowledge will be guiding again this year. Had some great trips on the Farmington and Housatonic last year.  Ask him about last year's trips to West Yellowstone and the Delaware River.

Go to our Fly Fishing Guide in CT page for details on how to reach out to Jason.
